THE NAME OF GOD

THE NAME OF GOD

God  wants  everything  in His  creation to have  a name. The name  is  important  to God.

Genesis 2:19 And out of the ground  Adonaï  Elohim formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them: and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

This  name  has  a  link  with the nature of the creature.

Genesis 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bore a son, and called his name Shet: for Elohim, said she, has appointed me another seed instead of  Abel, whom Cain slew.

God  can change  the name  of   His  creature  according to the  type  of  job  He  wants  him to perform.

He changed the  name of Abraham.

Genesis 17:5 Neither shall your name any more be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made you.

He changed the  name of Sarai.

Genesis 17:15 And Elohim said to Abraham, as for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

He changed the  name of Jacob.

Genesis 32:27 And he said to him, what is your name? And he said, Jacob.

Genesis 32:28 And he said, your name shall be called no more Iaacov, but Israel: for as a prince have you power with Elohim and with men, and have prevailed.

God  can  also determine  the  name of his  servant  according  to  the nature of an event .

Genesis 30:6 And Rachel said, Elohim has judged me, and has also heard my voice, and has given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

Genesis 30:18 And Leah said, Elohim has given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

Genesis 30:20 And Leah said, Elohim has endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.

17  Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born to him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

18  And Abraham said to Elohim, O that Ishmael might live before you!

19  And Elohim said, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed; and you shall call his name Isaac (he will laugh) : and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

God  knows the name of His people .

Isaiah 45:3 And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, Adonaï, which call you by your name,I  am Elohim of Israel.

God calls  His  people  by their  name because they  belong to Him.

God  makes  His holy people  high in name.

Isaiah 48:9 For my name’s sake will I defer my anger, and for my praise will I refrain for you, that I cut you not off.

Those  who  are  called by the name  of  God  can be protected by  God  for  His  name’s sake.

Jeremiah 14:9 Why should you be as a man astonished, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet you, יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, are in the middle of us, and we are called by your name; leave us not.

Jeremiah 14:21 Do not abhor us, for your name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, break not your covenant with us.

The servant of God shall swear by his name.

Deuteronomy 6:13 You shall fear יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your God, and serve him, and shall swear by his name.

Deuteronomy 10:20 You shall fear יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim; him shall you serve, and to him shall you hold, and swear by his name.

The  name  of  God  must be glorified  in His  servant’s  prayer.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray you: our Father which are in heaven, hallowed be your name.

The  prophets  speak in the  name  of God.

Daniel 9:6 Neither have we listened to your servants the prophets, which spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

The  prophet  can prophesy lies , false  vision and divination  in the name of  the Lord  to deceive people.

Jeremiah 14:14 Then יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE said to me, the prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke to them: they prophesy to you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nothing, and the deceit of their heart.

Jeremiah 14:15 Therefore thus said יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, sword and famine shall not be in this land; by sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

Jeremiah 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

Jeremiah 29:9 For they prophesy falsely to you in my name: I have not sent them, said יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE.

Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Messiah; and shall deceive many.

They  are punished   by God.

Jeremiah 27:15 For I have not sent them, said יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that you might perish, you, and the prophets that prophesy to you.

The enemy  of  God  also  have  a name.

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of Elohim.

Even the demons  have names.

Mark 5:1-10  ¶  And they came over to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

But when he saw Yeshoua afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

And cried with a loud voice, and said, what have I to do with you, Yeshoua, you Son of the most high God? I adjure you by God, that you torment me not.

For he said to him, come out of the man, you unclean spirit.

And he asked him, what is your name? And he answered, saying, my name is Legion: for we are many.

And he sought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, El with us.

Those  who  believe  shall cast out the devils in the name of God.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.

Elohim does not  forget the work and labor of love which  has  been  showed toward his name.

Hebrews 6:10 For Elohim is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

A house  shall be  built to the name of the Lord.

1 Kings 5:5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house to the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE my Elohim, as יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE spoke to David my father, saying, Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your room, he shall build an house to my name.

1 Kings 8:17 And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE Elohim of Israel.

1 Kings 8:20 And יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE has performed his word that he spoke, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE promised, and have built an house for the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE Elohim of Israel.

1 Chronicles 22:7 And David said to Solomon, my son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house to the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE my God

1 Chronicles 22:19 Now set your heart and your soul to seek יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim; arise therefore, and build you the sanctuary of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE Elohim, to bring the ark of the covenant of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, and the holy vessels of Elohim, into the house that is to be built to the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE.

1 Chronicles 29:16 יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE our Elohim, all this store that we have prepared to build you an house for your holy name comes of your hand, and is all your own.

2 Chronicles 6:10 יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE therefore has performed his word that he has spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE promised, and have built the house for the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE Elohim of Israel.

God  is the One Who  causes  His  name  to dwell  somewhere.

Ezra 6:12 And Elohim that has caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of Elohim which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.

The  house  that is called by the name  of the Lord  shall  not  be polluted.

Jeremiah 7:11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, said יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE

The people of God  should  bring  all their  value to  praise the name of  God. The  children of  God shall  bring  tithe  to the  place  where God  has  chosen to put  His  name.

Isaiah 60:9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.

Deuteronomy 12:5 But to the place which יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even to his habitation shall you seek, and thither you shall come:

Deuteronomy 12:11 Then there shall be a place which יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall you bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE

Deuteronomy 12:21 If the place which יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim has chosen to put his name there be too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE has given you, as I have commanded you, and you shall eat in your gates whatever your soul lusts after.

Deuteronomy 14:23 And you shall eat before יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE  your Elohim, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of your corn, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herds and of your flocks; that you may learn to fear יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your God always.

Deuteronomy 16:2 You shall therefore sacrifice the passover to the יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Yehovah shall choose to place his name there.

Deuteronomy 16:6 But at the place which יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE  your Elohim shall choose to place his name in, there you shall sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that you came forth out of Egypt.

Jeremiah 7:30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, said יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.

His people  must   rejoice  before Him in the place which He has chosen to place his name.

Deuteronomy 16:11 And you shall rejoice before יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite that is within your gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE your Elohim has chosen to place his name there.

God  is in the  middle  of those who  are  gathered  together  in his name.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the middle of them.

Every one that has forsaken houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother  or wife or children or lands for God name’s sake shall receive an hundred times and shall inherit everlasting life.

Matthew 19:29 And every one that has forsaken houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundred times, and shall inherit everlasting life.

People  believe  in the name of God  when they see  His  power  . They have life  through  His  name.

John 2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

John 20:31 But these are written, that you might believe that Yeshoua is the Maschiah, the Son of Elohim; and that believing you might have life through his name.

Acts 3:16 And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know: yes, the faith which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Those  who help the  people  who come in the  name of  God  are rewarded.

Mark 9:41 For whoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you belong to Mashiah, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.

God even  saves  the gentiles   for  His  name’s sake.

Acts 15:14 Simeon has declared how Elohim at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, our righteousness is the one who gives  safety.

Jeremiah 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE our righteousness.

The name of God defends the servant of God.

Psalms 20:1 יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE hears you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defends you

The  servant  of God can go  against  the  multitude  in the name of God.

2 Chronicles 14:11 And Asa cried to יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE his Elohim, and said, יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, it is nothing with you to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE our Elohim; for we rest on you, and in your name we go against this multitude. O יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, you are our Elohim; let no man prevail against you.

The servant of God  must set  up their banners in the name of God.

Psalms 20:5 We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our Elohim we will set up our banners: יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE fulfill all your petitions.

The  servants of God  must  not  trust in the chariots  and  the  horses  but in the  name of God.

Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE our Elohim.

The  servant of  God  trusts  in the name of God.

Isaiah 50:10 Who is among you that fears יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, that obeys the voice of his servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, and stay on his Elohim.

The servant of God  stands and feeds in the strength in the majesty of the name of his God.

Micah 5:4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, in the majesty of the name of יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE his Elohim; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great to the ends of the earth.

In harshness , the  servant  of  god  must  confess  the  name of  God.

1 Kings 8:33 When your people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against you, and shall turn again to you, and confess your name, and pray, and make supplication to you in this house:

1 Kings 8:35 When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against you; if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn from their sin, when you afflict them

When the  servant  of  God is tried , he  must call on  the name  of God to be heard and  be  redeemed.

Zechariah 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE is my Elohim.

God  knows  when His  servant  forgets  His  name .

Psalms 44:20 If we have forgotten the name of our Elohim, or stretched out our hands to a strange Elohim;would not Elohim have discovered it

The  desire  of the  soul of the servants  of  God  is  for  His  name.

Isaiah 26:8 Yes, in the way of your judgments, יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE, have we waited for you; the desire of our soul is to your name, and to the remembrance

Immanu-el is a  sign of  God . It is  a name of God .

Isaiah 7:14 behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear as on, and shall call his name Immanou-el. El with us

Immanu-el is the name  of the  son God  who  incarnates  in this world.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, El with us.

The  names of the  child  of God is Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The  Word  of  God  is  a  name  of the Son of God. The  servant  of God  is  purified in that name.

Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a clothing dipped in blood: and his name is called the Word of God.

Those  who  are  called  by the  name  of God  love  the  word  of  God.

Jeremiah 15:16 Your words were found, and I did eat them; and your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by your name, O יְהוָה YOD HE VAV HE Elohim Sebaoth.

Yeshoua  is the name of God  who saves.

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name Yeshoua: for he shall save his people from their sins.

This  name  was  given by the  angel.

Luke 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called Yeshoua, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Even the  gentiles  will  trust the  name of Yeshoua.

Matthew 12:21 And in His name shall the Gentiles trust.

Acts 15:14 Simeon has declared how Elohim at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Repentance and remission of sins is to be preached in his name.

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whoever believes in Him shall receive remission of sins.

1 John 2:12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.

Those  who  believe  on that  name have the power to become the  son of God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of Elohim, even to them that believe on His name.

John 3:18 He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of Elohim.

John 20:31 But these are written, that you might believe that Yeshoua is the Maschiah , the Son of Elohim; and that believing you might have life through his name.

Acts 4:10 Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yeshoua the Maschiah of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom Elohim raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole.

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of Elohim, and the name of Yeshoua the Maschiah, they were baptized, both men and women.

The  servant of  Elohim  is sanctified and  justified in the name of Yeshoua.

1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Yeshoua, and by the Spirit of our Elohim.

God  can be  praised in the name of our Lord Yeshoua the Maschiah.

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things to Elohim and the Father in the name of our Lord Yeshoua the Maschiah.

The name of our Lord Yeshoua the Maschiah is above  all  names because  He is  highly  exalted  by  Elohim.

Philippians 2:9 Why Elohim also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.

Whatever the servant of Elohim  does in word or deed, he  must do all in the name of the Lord Yeshoua the Maschiah.

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Yeshoua, giving thanks to Elohim and the Father by him.

Yeshoua will  do whatever is  asked in His  name  for the  glory of Elohim.

John 14:13 And whatever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:14 If  you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

John 15:16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 16:23 And in that day you shall ask me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

John 16:24 Till now have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

The  comforter  is  sent  by  Elohim  in the name of Yeshoua.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

The name  of  Lord Yeshoua the Maschiah is glorified in the  servant of Elohim.

2 Thessalonians 1:12 That the name of our Lord Yeshoua the Maschiah may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Yeshoua the Maschiah.

Every one who names the name of the Maschiah must depart from iniquity.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of Elohim stands sure, having this seal, the Lord knows them that are his. And, let every one that names the name of the Maschiah depart from iniquity.

Happy  are those  who are reproached for the name of the Messiah.

1 Peter 4:14 If you be reproached for the name of the Messiah, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of Elohim rests on you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

The name of the Son of  Elohim gives eternal life.

1 John 5:13 These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of Elohim; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of Elohim.

God sets on high, answers, protects, delivers, honours, satisfies with long life and  shows His  salvation  to those  who knows His  name.

Psalm 91:14  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

16  With length of days will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

BIBLE STUDY:THE JUDGMENT

This Bible study is based on Bible verses. Bible  says that every  body  will  stand before  the  judgment  of  the  Messiah. God’s judgment is perfect.

Is  there  a  judgment  for  every body ?

Every  body  will  stand before  the  judgment  of  the  Messiah .

But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of the  Messiah.  For it is written: “As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”  So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. (Romans 14:10-12 )

Because for every matter there is a time and judgment, though the misery of man increases greatly.  For he does not know what will happen; so who can tell him when it will occur? (Ecclesiastes 8:6-7)

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all.  For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)

2-Why should the judgment of  man  firstly be  oriented  towards himself.

Man is imperfect by nature. He  should  first  remove the  plank from  his own  eye.

“And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?  “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother’s eye. (Luke 6:41-42)

“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.  “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:37-38)

3-What is the foundation of the human judgment?

Man judges according to the flesh.

“You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.  “And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me. (John 8:15-16)

4-Is  there a perfect judgment?

God’s judgment is perfect.

“And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me. (John 8:16)

which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer;  since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you,  and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Yeshoua is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,  in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Yeshoua  the  Messiah. (2 Thessalonians 1:5-8)

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.(Hebrews 4:13)

5-Can God’s  elect  be   judged ?

They are   conquerors  through  the  Messiah . They  are  then  justified  by  the  one  who  will  judge  everybody .

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.  Who is he who condemns? It is the  Messiah who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. (Romans 8:33-34)

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)

For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.  But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. (1 Corinthians 11:31-32)

6-What should  a  man  do  in the perspective of God’s   judgment?

In this perspective,  he  should  repent , pray  and  also be  merciful .

“I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3)

“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)

For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. (James 2:13)

7- How  can  God’s  mercy  be  explained ?

God  is  love.

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8)

For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,  that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:3-4)

In  His   sight  no  one  is  righteous.  But  he sent  His  Son  to  die  for  the  sinners

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, the  Messiah died for us. (Romans 5:8)

Do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight no one living is righteous.(Psalms 143:2)

8-Why  does  God  judge  people ?

With His  judgment  the  inhabitants  of  the  world  learn  righteousness.

With my soul I have desired You in the night, yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.  Let grace be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. (Isaiah 26:9-10)

For the day of the LORD of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up—And it shall be brought low—  Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan;  upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up;  upon every high tower, And upon every fortified wall;  upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all the beautiful sloops.  The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day,  but the idols He shall utterly abolish. (Isaiah 2:12-18)

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,  “to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” (Jude 1:14-15)

9-How will  God’s final judgment be ?

Those whose name are not registered in the book of life will  definitively be destroyed.

The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked,  so that men will say, “Surely there is a reward for the righteous; surely He is God who judges in the earth.” (Psalms 58:10-11)

Those who did  not keep God’s word will  be  cast  out  and withered .

“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. (John 15:6)

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.  And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.  Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.  And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,  and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!  “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Revelation 6:12-17)

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.  The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. (Psalms 1:5)

Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.  For behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; the earth will also disclose her blood, and will no more cover her slain.  In that day the LORD with His severe sword, great and strong, will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; and He will slay the reptile that is in the sea. (Isaiah 26:20-27:1)

“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 7:19)

10-What is the foundation of the divine judgment?

God’s judgment is based on  God’s word.

“And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.  “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. (John 12:47-48)

11-Who will judge   the  whole  world ?

God , Yeshoua’s Father is the supreme Judge.

All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirits.(Proverbs 16:2)

‘You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man’s presence, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.’ (Deuteronomy 1:17)

He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.(1 Chronicles 16:14)

He  gave  the  judgment  power  to  Yeshoua the  Messiah

“I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. (John 5:30)

“For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. (Matthew 16:27)

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of the  Messiah, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10)

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. (Revelation 1:7)

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:7-8)

12- Is  there  any  link  between  the  presence  of  the  Holy  Spirit   in  the  world  and  the  judgment ?

The Holy Spirit convinces the world of the judgment.

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.  “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (John 16:7-8)

13-Does God  judge in the daily life ?

He  does  it in  the perspective of the final judgment. So by his decisions, men  learn righteousness . Through His  permanent  judgment, He  reveals  His  supreme  authority .

He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.(Psalms 105:7)

and he spoke to Korah and all his company, saying, “Tomorrow morning the LORD will show who is His and who is holy, and will cause him to come near to Him. That one whom He chooses He will cause to come near to Him.  “Do this: Take censers, Korah and all your company;  “put fire in them and put incense in them before the LORD tomorrow, and it shall be that the man whom the LORD chooses is the holy one. You take too much upon yourselves, you sons of Levi!” (Numbers 16:5-7)

I will pour out My indignation on you; I will blow against you with the fire of My wrath, and deliver you into the hands of brutal men who are skillful to destroy.  You shall be fuel for the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land. You shall not be remembered, for I the LORD have spoken.’” (Ezekiel 21:31-32)

“therefore, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I will do according to your anger and according to the envy which you showed in your hatred against them; and I will make Myself known among them when I judge you. (Ezekiel 35:11)

14-Why did God give the autority to execute judgment to Yeshoua ?

He gave  this  power  to Him  because  He is the Son of  man. He will  judge  with  righteousness.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.  “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself,  “and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.  “Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice  “and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.  “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. (John 5:25-30)

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.  “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.  “And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.  “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;  ‘I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’  “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?  ‘When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  ‘Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’  “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’  “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:  ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;  ‘I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’  “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’  “Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’  “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (Matthew 25:31-46)

15-What  is  the  feature  of God’s judgment?

God’s judgment is true and just. No nation will contradict this  judgment.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;  the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. (Psalms 19:7-10)

Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight—That You may be found just when You speak, and blameless when You judge.  Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. (Psalms 51:4-5)

The way of the just is uprightness; O Most Upright, You weigh the path of the just.  Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O LORD, we have waited for You; the desire of our soul is for Your name and for the remembrance of You.  With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. (Isaiah 26:7-9)

“So I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries; I judged them according to their ways and their deeds. (Ezekiel 36:19)

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. (Romans 2:2)

Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested.” (Revelation 15:4)

“For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.” (Revelation 19:2)

16-How will be the day of the final judgment?

It will be a day of  wrath  ,  a  day  of  punishment.

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. (Proverbs 11:4)

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)

then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment (2 Peter 2:9)

They shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, from the terror of the LORD and the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily.  In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which they made, each for himself to worship, to the moles and bats,  to go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the crags of the rugged rocks, from the terror of the LORD and the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily. Sever yourselves from such a man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he? (Isaiah 2:12-22)

17-Is it  possible to foresee the day of the Messiah advent ?

Only God knows this day.

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.(Matthew 24:36 )
